Family Promise In January

The Family Promise families will return to Saint Stephen’s, January 7-14. During the time the families are with us, they reside each night in Carpenter Hall and have all their dinners provided by members of our congregation. There are many opportunities to be involved with this wonderful ministry that can fit your schedule.  One of the most important volunteer opportunities is spending the night with the families which is an easy and fun, but vital, task. Overnight Hosts arrive by 7:15 p.m., turn off the lights at 9:00 p.m. and sleep in one of the private extra rooms in Carpenter Hall.

New opportunities to help along with the regular positions include; breakfast on Saturday morning, helping as a greeter, and assistant coordinator.  If you have an interest in the new opportunities, please contact Dee Brightwell or church staff.

As part of the ministry, we are always looking for donations such as women/ men toiletry items (Deodorant, facial wipes, mouthwash, etc.), Baby Items (baby wipes, rash creams, etc.), and first aid supplies (Band-Aids, ointments, etc.).  Lastly, this ministry is mostly funded by St. Stephen’s outreach, but donations from the parish are always welcome, so if you are interested in donating to the ministry, please contact the Family Promise Coordinator or our Priests.

Sign up opportunities are available HERE.

Please look out for additional information in the email blasts and in the Crossroads.

If you are interested in assisting and/or have questions, please contact Cody Pugh at 746-4847.
