• 5:30 p.m. - Hot Dogs & Cake

• 6:00 p.m. - Pet Blessing by the Clergy

This year we are adding a ceremony for those who would like to place in the ground the ashes of a pet that has died. Anyone wishing to do so is invited to gather in the memorial garden at 4:30 p.m. There is section of our grounds that was dedicated years ago to be a scatter garden for pet ashes. Our animal welfare group is working to improve that area and this will be a meaningful way of drawing attention to this ministry. 

If you plan to bring the remains of a pet, please email the Rev. Katherine Harper so that we can be prepared for the service.  

** Please no pets inside the building.

We will be collecting pet items for various shelters as part of our October outreach collection.

You can also find the wish list for the Greater Birmingham Humane Society here. They are always in need of newspapers, towels (hand & washcloths) and pet food. You can bring these to the event or the Outreach Alcove and we will deliver them.
