Summertime at Saint Stephen's
On Wednesday evenings this June and July, we will gather for the four Fs: food, fun, formation, and fellowship for all ages. Beginning at 5:30 p.m., we will have dinner available through our favorite local food trucks in the lower parking lot, or you can choose to bring your own picnic dinner to enjoy on the back patio or in the parking lot (don’t forget your camp chairs!).
Then, beginning at 6:30, we will offer fun for people of all ages. On four nights (two in June, two in July), children will have the chance to enjoy Vacation Bible School (see details below) while adults will gather for conversation and community facilitated by our clergy, which may include making care packages for local outreach projects, hearing a guest speaker, or just enjoying one another’s company (details to come!). On the remaining Wednesdays, we will gather for Bingo Nights and a Picnic at the Park. Our hope is that, as we gather on Wednesday evenings over the summer, this will get all of us back into the rhythm of gathering midweek, as we look toward restarting Wednesday Night Live again this August.
More about Vacation Bible School 2021
Vacation Bible School will look a little different this summer at Saint Stephen’s. Children will have four unique opportunities to visit Adventure Island to explore ways God shines great light in the world and learn how they can also shine God’s light wherever they go! Every visit to Adventure Island will have a Bible story, crafts, amazing science experiments, and lots of fun. We plan to keep most of our activities outside.
Families may attend all four adventures or come to the ones that fit their summer schedule. Children entering 4K through 7th grade in the fall can join in on the Adventure Island fun. We will have age-appropriate activities for the children, including special activities for the upcoming 5th-7th graders. Nursery for children younger than 4K will also be available.
