Maundy Thursday - 6:30 p.m.

Maundy Thursday

6:30 p.m.: The Maundy Thursday service on March 28 will include foot washing, Eucharist, the stripping of the altar, and preparation for Good Friday.

There will be Nursery for babies and children to age 4.

When we gather for this tender service, we remember that Jesus has entered Jerusalem and gathered with his disciples for the Last Supper. In John’s Gospel, Jesus washes the feet of his disciples and commands his followers to do the same.

During this service, you will be invited (but not required) to wash the feet of a friend, loved one, or stranger. Following Eucharist, the Altar and Sanctuary are stripped bare, symbolizing the preparation for the death of Christ. The service ends in silence and all are asked to leave in silence.. There will be no dismissal, as the last three days are seen as a one continuous liturgy. This phase of service moves to darkness.

This service will be live-streamed.
