Saint Stephen's will be hosting Laundry Love every other month instead of quarterly!
Laundry Love is a ministry that makes a big impact on our community. We are excited to now be able to host it monthly versus quarterly. This allows us to contribute more to the Woodlawn community by forming more relationships and provide more opportunities for people to be involved. If you are new to what Laundry Love does for the community, click here.
This is a ministry with many moving parts. If you want to get involved, below are some ways to help.
PRINT INVITATIONS: CJ makes invitations to announce the day and time that Saint Stephen's will be at the laundromat in Woodlawn. This is an opportunity for someone to print and cut the invitations.
DELIVER INVITATIONS: CJ delivers the invitations to Dream Works, Christ Health Center, Work Readiest Program, Hope Ministries and Community Kitchens at Grace Church the Monday before Laundry Love. This is an opportunity to get to know people from these organizations. You can go with CJ, and she will introduce you to the people that work at these agencies so you will feel comfortable going in the future to deliver the invitations.
DELIVER SIGN: The sign that advertises the hours of Laundry Love is taken to Imperial Cleaners at 5412 1st Ave N, Birmingham, AL 35212 the morning of Laundry Love. Could you be the one to deliver the sign?
BE A HOST: The next Laundry Love is April 10 from 3:00 to 6:30. We add the detergent, dryer sheets and coins to the washer and dryers. But most important is talking with the people while they are waiting on their clothes.
