Holy Hikes is back on Saturday, August 3 and we’ve got a fun hike planned. Xan Glover will be leading a hike at Turkey Creek and the Rev. John B Burruss will be conducting a Eucharist. Turkey Creek is about 15 minutes north of Birmingham in Pinson. Turkey Creek was established through a partnership with Alabama’s Forever Wild Program and Freshwater Land Trust. The last stretch of the hike will parallel the creek and end at the falls where children (and adults) will have a chance to slide down the rocks or just cool their feet in the water.

This will be Xan Glover’s second hike to lead. Xan and his wife, Kim attend St. Stephens Episcopal Church with their children Adeline, Trey, and Blakley. They have been members of St. Stephens for over 30 years. Xan enjoys being outside because it helps him appreciate God’s creation.

We hope to see you out in God’s creation in August. Bring a friend or two before school starts.
