The last two months we canceled our hikes because of the pandemic we are living.  However, this month, our coordinator, Allen Howell, had a wonderful idea. Allen asked, “What about a Scavenger Hunt? What if we asked people to hike wherever they would like but to do it together?”  I think it is a wonderful idea.    

So, Saturday, June 6th, we hike! At 9am, and wherever you would like. I only ask that you pray for the world and those that come to your mind when you hike and take in the beauty of our island home. Take some pictures. Post them to Social Media with the #holyhikes and let’s see if we can start something special.  Here are some things to look for: 

• A tree larger than you 

• A bird 

• Something that crawls 

• An animal's home 

• A smooth rock 

• A stream, river or any natural water 

• Another hiker 

• An animal or insect making a noise 

• Something with four legs 

• Something you could eat if needed 

• A beautiful  view of nature 

• A flower 

• Something with bright colors 

• Something that flies that isn't a bird 

• Something too heavy to pick up 

Pick a place, take some pictures, pray a little, and let’s all know that God is present in all that we do. #holyhikes
