50th Anniversary - Last Chance to Register - Come Celebrate with Us
May 4, 2023
Dear Saint Stephen's
Our 50th anniversary celebration is here with three very special events! Are you ready? Here is what you need to know.
On Saturday, May 13, we will gather in the Parish Hall from 9:00 a.m. until about 2:00 p.m. to package 50,000 meals for Rise Against Hunger. This is a wonderful way of serving God and the needs of the world and is appropriate for people of all ages. We will have two shifts of people working from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and ask that you arrive about 15 minutes before your shift for an orientation. You can sign up here to help us be best prepared.
On Friday, May 19, we will have an incredible celebration party for our church community for everyone who is age 21 or older. You have until the end of Thursday, May 11 to register for the party. While there is no cost to attend the party, our Anniversary Committee is looking for just a few more sponsors, you can sign up here. If you sign up to be a sponsor by Thursday, May 11, you (or your company) will be listed in the program (Gold - $1000, Silver - $500, and Bronze $250). You can register to attend the party through Realm here, or by emailing Zac Brown at zachary@ssechurch.org to register.
On Sunday, May 21, we will have one service in the morning at 10:15 a.m. (although we will still have our 5:00 p.m. Celtic Service). This service will be in the back parking lot and we encourage you to bring a chair! Following the service, Three on a String will give a concert in the Parish Hall and we will have games, a bouncy house, and a picnic outside. The church will provide beverages and drinks. If your last name begins with A-S, please bring a side dish. If your last name begins with T-Z, please bring a dessert. Together, we will have a glorious feast!
Come join us as we celebrate this important milestone. And if you need a T-shirt to commemorate the experience, you can order one here! If you order your T-shirts by May 8, you will be able to pick them up at the picnic.
Faithfully,
The Rev. John B. Burruss, Rector
